for those of you who were so helpful in the hard time we were going through in my sister in laws case of abuse, i have some really good news.. she is 14 yrs old and her mother is a jw, totally active witness, her mother married the girls father after he served only 14 yrs of a 25 to life sentence for manslaughter.
he was released because the prison closed down and the others are overcrowded.
the mother married him, and after only 3 months of being out he started physically abusing the daughter(my hubby's sister).
oh Mammashel, I am so happy for you and for that dear girl!!! Thank the Goddess she is safe with you now! I grew up in an abusive household and it was hell on earth, I wish I'd had someone to rescue me at 14.
I am so glad you could be there for her. She is safe physically, and hopefully will enjoy being safe spiritually, away from the jws!

my personal experience aside, once again pedophilia has touched close to home.
some of you may know that i'm catholic, and that my bishop, wilton gregory, is the head of the united states conference of catholic bishops that came up with the zero tolerance policy for abuse.
bishop gregory, bishop of the diocese of belleville, illinois, was recently in the vatican urging support for the policy, for which the vatican has expressed concerns about the rights of the priests being violated.
wow. I am impressed by the bishop.

mine was martial arts.
I did everything I'd been missing! I went to parties, I got drunk, celebrated holidays etc. I met my Sweet Vampyre and had truly awesome sex... including something in particular that i love to do and consider an art form but that tje wt forbids....

My 1st marriage sucked, but I got two terrific kids out of it. Unfortunately their dad is still a jw... so they suffer the kh etc. :(

as a building inspector in a large city, i also come across inspecting nun's retirement homes.
in fact, working on a special project recently i visited 10 buildings housing anywhere from 60 to 500 nuns each.
i was struck by how well these nuns are taken care of by the catholic church.

he is a "bigger boy"......his father is 6'2" and i am 5'10".
james is very tall for his age and is also slightly overweight.
scootergirl, I feel your pain. My 8 year old is being teased for being too skinny and having long hair. He was even thinking of cutting his hair! I told him fine, it is his hair... but that he should do as HE really wants to.

Aishi, I love your story! I was the awkward nerdy girl who no one liked... but that changed. Now I am the beautiful woman about to marry the man of my dreams. He used to be the very small for his age super smart kid who girls wouldn't date.... He would describe himself as overweight and balding at this point. He thinks he looks like george kostanza from seinfeld... he is wrong. He is a gorgeous redhead with alarmingly green eyes and the sexiest smile.
So we were both late bloomers and we are both very happy now. Ran into a couple of girls from HS recently... the snotty kind who used to mock me. They look their age... and I don't. :) My midwife thought I was 17 this past winter.... I was 34, now 35.

i was talking to my sister yesterday, who spent the weekend with our still active parents.
over the weekend, they all had dinner with another couple, who were sharing some of the "latest news.
" i am getting this second hand, but my sister is excellent at remembering exactly what was said.
Scares me. My kids spend half their time with their jw dad... sounds like they'll be passing out kool-aid soon.....
